Sports meet reports in the Chennai city are the last chance to catch up with your favourite team and get a good look at the competition.
A day of football in the city is scheduled on March 20, and it will be followed by a two-day men’s and women’s sports meet on March 23 and 24.
The sports meet is expected to draw more than 3,000 spectators, and there will be a sports hall where sports fans can meet their favourite teams and take part in games.
Sports meet is the last opportunity to catch the games live, and a good time to catch some games in the heart of the city.
The venue will be the home of KEM Sports, a sports centre which will host two-hour matches at 9 pm on the Sunday.
There will be sports activities in the stadium for a total of four hours.
A complete schedule for the day is below.
The day starts with a soccer match between the Chennai FC and KEM FC.
The team, which is playing in the first division of the Tamil Nadu Football League (TNTL), was formed in 2007 and has since achieved a number of promotions, including a top-three ranking in the league table.
This will be its first time playing at the home stadium of a major sports team in the state.KEM FC will have a total squad of around 200.
The club will play its games at the Chennai Stadium from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
Kem FC is the second-highest-ranked team in its division, after Tamil Nadu’s No 1 FC, Chennai Super Kings.
Its home ground is the KEM Stadium, which has an average capacity of over 14,000.
The stadium has also hosted a football match between Chennai FC, the reigning champions, and KEL (Kamal Nagar East), a top domestic football team, in October last year.
The first match will be played between Chennai Super King and Chennai FC at 9 am.
Chennai Super Chiefs, Chennai FC’s former opponents, have been battling for the top spot in the division since the start of the season.
In their first meeting, Chennai won 1-0.
