A sports meet invitation has been issued by the Israeli National Basketball Association, the Israeli Basketball Association and the Israeli Football Association to participate in international competitions in Israel.
The invitation was issued late Tuesday by the Israel Basketball Association.
The Israeli Football Federation, which also plays in Israel, issued a similar invitation last week.
The invitee is the Israeli Professional Football Association, which is the governing body of professional football in Israel and serves as the governing authority for Israeli professional football teams.
Israeli Football Association spokesman Dan Kupferschmidt said the invitation was not a press release but rather an official invitation issued by both leagues.
“The invitation is issued by our respective associations to join the International Association of Sport,” Kupfschmidt told The Jerusalem Report.
According to Kupdfersch, both leagues will host international competitions this summer, with the exception of the 2020 Rugby World Cup, which will be held in Israel this summer.
